Precautions for Retinitis Pigmentosa Patients

Essential fatty acids are necessary for the proper functioning of your body. Our body don’t produce these fats, so it is necessary to increase the intake of rich diet containing these fats. They help with cellular development and in the formation of cellular membranes. For RP patients, these fatty acids are very helpful to protect their optic cells and therefore restore their vision function for longer time. The following are the two types of essential fatty acids that helps you to prevent eyesight issues.

Omega 3 Fatty Acids:
Omega 3 fatty acids are essential to improve the nerve conduction in retina. Helps in reducing the macular degeneration of the eye and glaucoma conditions.
Foods: Dark leafy vegetables, tofu, soya beans, walnuts and walnut oils, flax seeds (ground), seed oil, cold water fish (sardines, salmon, halibut).

Omega 6 Fatty Acids:
These acids protect one’s eyes and other cells in the body from deterioration. These are not generated by body, so one has to take them through diet or supplements.
Foods: Over 70% of these fatty acids can be gained through linoleic acid, vegetable safflower, sunflower oil, grape seed etc.

The ratio of Omega 6 to Omega 3 fatty acids should range from 1:1 to not more than 4:1. These fatty acids do help in reducing macular degeneration and glaucoma conditions.

Besides healthy diet, proper intervention treatments enable RP patients to maintain visual function and even improve their vision condition, which ensure the overall success of emerging gene therapies – which require some existing visual function to work.

Our China RP Integrative Treatment Center offer a comprehensive array of both Western and TCM treatments, including stem cell treatment, serum treatment, nerve growth factors, acupuncture and acupoint injection, hyperbaric oxygen therapy. There are two driving principles behind our treatments: the first is to increase blood flow and circulation to the retina, which is severely lacking in RP patients and critical for healthy retinal function; the second is to stimulate dormant cells in the retina. This entire treatment package is provided to all qualifying patients. For a free medical evaluation, please fill out the online form: https://www.restorerpvision.com/medical-evaluation-report-2/
